Birds Bees and Poppet Lunar Magick

A few might find this subject amusing… even a little quaint but quaint it aint. Ask why I used the Mariah Carey Christmas Video. After watching its obvious to the keen and even to the untrained eye, that there was a woman determined to get ahead. Despite the fact that she was more than a little shaken by someone who was close to her, perhaps even feeling a bit betrayed, she was not going to let that stop her and she even went to the extent to place it on her video for all who had the eyes to see…
Poppet Magick
From Terri Paajanen,Reports—
Dollies aren’t just for kids
There is more to poppet magick than the stereotypical Voodoo doll stuck with pins or dropped in the fire. While I won’t deny that dolls are used in this way for some sorts of magickal purposes, that is not everything there is to poppet magick.
A poppet is a representation of a person, usually a small stuffed figure. But poppets can also be made from wax, clay or wood. Well, just about anything can be used if you’re crafty enough. You can add power and improve the focus of the spell by adding something personal from that person into the poppet. A strand of hair, a photograph or even just having their name written on the doll. This only applies if the doll represents a specific person that you have contact with.Your poppet doesn’t have to literally look like that person. Just a general person-shape is fine.
Now we have this beautiful Lunar Eclipse. Sometime it’s too easy to forget we encounter these celestial oddities twice a year, but not always visible in the right place or time… This situation of out of sight, out of mind will not be a problem with this Lunar Eclipse is almost certain to be observed throughout most of the clear winter skies of the eastern seaboard.
This is not to be take lightly because its only by such light true castings are made. Tonight provides most with an exceptional opportunity to let loose and reach some of those higher frequency spells that, over time, require a real dusting. Now is the time to let your tarot do the talking.
Sometimes called a “Blood Moon” it was sometimes considered an ominous omen. For those that are true Practitioners its a chance to do a little clearing of the records. Personally, to me, its part and parcel of the magick of our Majestic Universe.
